Contrary to the grapevine, Govinda has not been kicked out or replaced by contemporary Jackie Shroff in Jagga Jasoos. This is the third rumour floating in the past two-three months about the former dancing sensation.
Govinda, currently basking in the compliments he’s been getting for his negative avatar in the promos of Kill Dill, believes that his detractors are working overtime to generate such news about him. “Theres a section that cant fathom that Im back on the scene. Ive got work and Im a changed man. I've been working harder than before, and following a professional style of functioning. I dont accept offers without scripts, with Jagga Jasoos being the only exception. So, theyre spreading stories now,” he says.
The dancing sensation of the 1990s recalls the rumour cropped up in July first, when about 75 per cent of the spy movie had been shot. He rues that despite clearing the air about him doing Jagga Jasoos, the rumour has refused to die down.
